Our rugs and carpets are all hand woven in 100% cotton or wool. Many are of Oriental design. These designs originated in old Persia. Nomadic weavers in the 16th century brought their skills over the mountain ranges, down onto the plains of India. It is the descendants of these tribes who now weave the rugs. |
Each rug or carpet takes from 4-12 months to produce, depending on the intricacy of the design, the number of knots per square inch and the size of the piece. We also have African style carpets and rugs for holiday homes. |
