Our cushion covers, throws and rugs are all hand made using ancient skills. The fabrics used are all wool, cotton, linen or velvet. None are synthetic. Because some of our craftsmen use vegetable dyes, although these are permanent dyes, it is always advisable to dry clean or to wash very gently in cool water and non-bio detergent. See more advice in Product Care at the bottom of the page. Our cushion covers are made of cotton, velvet and linen. The cotton cushion covers are hand printed in a galaxy of colours and designs. The velvet and linen cushion covers are hand embroidered with wool and silk. Our cushion pads are made of 100% duck feather.

Our rugs and carpets are all hand woven. The designs originated in old Persia. Nomadic weavers in the 16th century brought their skills over the mountain ranges, down onto the plains of India. It is the descendants of these tribes who now weave the rugs. Each rug or carpet takes from 4-12 months to produce, depending on the intricacy of the design, the number of knots per square inch and the size of the piece. They are made of 100% cotton or wool.
Our throws can be used on the bed or sofa - wrap yourself in elegant comfort. Each throw is hand woven in pure new wool, often with vegetable dyes. There are historic, tribal and contemporary patterns but they are all commissioned by our designers. We have chosen colours which will brighten or calm your surroundings.
