We commissioned this 18th century French version of the English Knole Sofa to be wide enough to accommodate three people, high enough to keep it intimate and neat enough to take up a minimum of space.
It has a weathered, limewashed oak frame with tapered arms and back. The carving has been kept to a minimum to show of the stunning wood patina and finish, apart from the classic 18th century reeded carving on each of its 8 legs.
Its cushioned surround and seat pad includes goose down for additional comfort and has 5 matching 45cm sq cushion covers with pads. The fabric is a linen/cotton blend and is a camel/light olive in colour.
It looks stunning in a contemporary scheme with an eclectic mix of furnishings and enhances traditional interiors - add other cushions and a few throws, from our Textiles section, to create your own look.
