The influence for this exquisite handmade bird cage design, was the 18th century Chinese birdcages that still hang in the squares of Hong Kong and Beijing with morning birdsong and that became popular in England, during the Victorian era.
It has been handcarved with a turned wood frame and carved balls on each of the 4 columns, a bird-door and catch, a dome-shaped roof with an acorn finial and metal loop, at the centre, to enable you to hang it. We have painted it in a vintage, sage green colour so, that it blends with any interior colour schemes.
Its shape and subtle colour is perfect for calm living rooms, bedrooms and chic kitchens and conservatories, in urban or rural interiors. Place it on a window sill or console table or place a pair either side of a fireplace or under a set of side tables for impact.
