A Dream in Cream

The delicate workmanship of this superb inlaid furniture belies its sturdy usefulness. Bedside cupboards and matching table in blonde and cream inlaid bone, partner a cream inlaid bone chair. More cream bone decorates the superbly etched urn and the bone and wood trinket box alongside a cream lacquer box with silver shell finial. Tea for two is laid on a deep raspberry coloured lacquer tray which echoes the rich silk bed hanging and magnificent Aubusson style rug. This restful mood is completed by a superb bone inlaid mirror and two cream open work wood urn lamps.

Use the same pale colour throughout to create calm harmony in a bedroom but prevent boredom by introducing interesting shapes and intricate design. Lift the atmosphere with one or two contrasting colours.
